TAKING A LOOK INTO YEAT’S NEWEST PROJECT
Alright so I’ve been avoiding discussing the new Yeat album because I’m planning on doing a proper video review over on YouTube, but I’m folding a bit so that we can just get this on the record. As a former Yeat hater, i gotta say…I don’t dislike the new album as much as I thought I would. I don't know if that's saying much, but I will say that there’s a lot of stuff on the project that I enjoyed. Was it bloated? Incredibly. Do a lot of the songs drag on for longer than they should? Sometimes. Is it creative? Very much so! I mean Yeat’s unique blend of intoxicating vocals, silly adlibs, and insane beats, aren’t really for everyone, but you absolutely cannot knock the effort that’s being set on all fronts. Like I said, getting through this album is an absolute chore, from poor performances, to tracks that overstay their welcome, I can see how you could be put off by it all, but give it a listen and judge for yourself. Actually here’s my official must listen picks: No more talk, Rav3 P4rty, Slamm, Mysëlf, and finally, Nun i’d change (seriously, you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t check out nun i’d change bruh, production is sexy, and Yeat surprisingly matches the energy).
