“BACK2U” IS THE RETURN OF BRANDON SEA

You know, it’s always exciting when you’ve been keeping up with an artist for a while now, and they suddenly give you new content. This week I’ve been treated to that exact feeling thanks to my good pal Brandon Sea (@brandonseaa), and his latest release “back2u”. “back2u” feels like a return to form for sea’s discography, as I do remember feeling slightly lukewarm towards his prior release “Loner,” which was released at the tail end of 2022. What I like about this track is that it feels like the most natural progression for Sea in terms of sound, and thematic qualities, going back to a sound that feels vulnerable, and open. Since taking off with his 2021 track “Poison,” I’ve been excitedly waiting for Brandon to tap right back into the style that his fans love most. “back2u” sees Brandon Sea giving an incredible vocal performance that sounds confident, in a somewhat brutally honest way. The production is fun and uptempo, while at times warm, and melancholic, making sure to leave a lasting impression at every turn. Finally, hats off to Mr. Sea, I’m very happy to see him continue to take his sound into exciting spaces. Stream it today!
