KOI’S NEWEST SINGLE “GREY’S ANATOMY” SETS HIM UP PERFECTLY PRIOR TO HIS ALBUM

LA artist Koi (@ripcoye) drops the very first single, “Grey’s Anatomy”, from his upcoming project with a name that has yet to be announced. I decided to highlight this single in particular because I was just slightly taken aback and intrigued by the beat selection made by Koi, as Grey’s anatomy features what I would describe as a west coast production style, equipped with a classic sounding sample, and punchy hip-hop drums that perfectly set the tone. As far as our vocal performance goes we get our typical mix of melody and rap in a style that only Koi could convey, sounding as relaxed as ever in the smoothest way possible while delivering bars contemplating a missed opportunity. While Grey’s anatomy isn’t a complete departure from what we know and love Koi to be, this is definitely a refreshing direction, and I hope that this is the direction he decides to take his next project into!
