VODA FUJI’S LATEST SINGLE IS A MUST LISTEN

The great Voda Fuji (@vodafuji) released his first single of 2023 with the ever catchy acoustic pop track “Mismatch”. Mismatch tells the story of a Voda Fuji and a person who he’s come to realize is bad for him and his life. Voda and the person could not be more different, as they hardly see eye to eye, act completely ingenuine, and are simply as problematic as possible. Despite the apparent mismatch, this person keeps attempting to push themselves deeper and deeper into Voda’s life, and he makes that dynamic clear as day through the lines “Swerving your daddy’s Bentley getting whiplash, telling me to hop in, I don't know if I should risk that”. Narrative aside, this track absolutely shines through its straightforward instrumentation which features nothing but rich melodies performed on an acoustic guitar that I can safely say efficiently drive this single into a relatable sonic soundscape. This song’s great, while a bit short, Voda Fuji’s vocal performance and sincere writing more than make up for any elements that could have been lacking, and I implore you to check it out.
