PRENTISS RETURNS WITH LATEST PROJECT “PREQUEL”

Last month fifteen-year-old bedroom pop sensation Prentiss (@1prentiss) made his musical return with the project “prequel”. Now, while I did take the time to listen and appreciate the four-track ep, I wanted to highlight one track in specific as it just happens to be my personal favorite. The song is titled “Sky Is Falling,” and it’s my favorite because it really showcases the insane growth Prentiss has made since his once-in-a-lifetime blow-up moment two years ago. Not only do we get a more mature, and refined take on Prentiss' sound, but what impressed me the most about this song is the level of production that Prentiss now has available in his arsenal. Through its massive drums, electrifying rock-like guitar riffs, and especially Prentiss’ melodramatic song witting, and vocal delivery, this song is built to show off exactly what Prentiss and his team have been building. The fact that Prentiss came up with that “kid artist” label on him made it easy for others to dismiss him, but exactly this is what I’ve been waiting to hear from the artist, a well-put-together banger of a track that’s ultimately super reflective of the work, and resources that he’s earned.
