DISCOVER PLOTKI WITH HIS NEWEST SINGLE “STRANGE MAN”
I want to try and put you on to a new underground artist, his name’s Plotki (@implotki). He’s a Mexican American rapper, and an overall artist who I feel deserves way more recognition than he already has. On his latest release, “Strange men,” Plotki channels his inner Mac Miller to deliver a gorgeous jazz-rap fusion track about inner stresses, and what sounds like a stream of mental consciousness. All through this track we’re serenaded by a dreamy saxophone riff that absolutely sells the mood that this track is aiming for. By the way, if you hear this one, and aren’t instantly transported to a smoke filled jazz club while the club vocalist sings “Strange men go to bed!,” then I hate to tell you this, but you’re doing it wrong. Speaking of the chorus, Plotki makes sure to match that same sleazy energy with a vocal that sounds intoxicating, but still sincere. I really enjoyed this one, and I’m definitely going to keep checking in with this artist and his music from now on.
