CONTRADASH’S NEWEST SINGLE “SAVE YOURSELF” IS AN AMAZING, ENERGY FILLED EFFORT FROM THE ARTIST
Contradash (@contradash) is an artist I haven’t gotten many chances to highlight on this platform, but I’m excited to be able to do just that thanks to his latest single “save yourself first”. Now, if you aren’t familiar with contradash and his music, the first thing to note would be his unique style, ranging from hyperpop, to digicore, to pop music and even a little bit of alt rock here and there. Save yourself first sees Contradash delving right back into that alt rock sound with a touch of digital production, from his vocal mixing to the overall blend of electric guitars meets digital drums and samples. Contradash keeps the vibes light while delivering his performance over the driving guitar that makes up the main component of the production, while narratively expressing how he wants to see the person he speaks to on this track find their point of safety, even if it's before he does. My favorite part about this single is the fact that Contradash kept it simple, giving us his message while pushing his sound, without alienating his audience, a line that can often be challenging to keep up with.
