Steele 11 is here with a brand new single “VACANT”

You know, as a writer I always try and keep up with all of my favorites to make sure that I don’t miss out on any new drops… but apparently I haven’t been doing a good job of that because it seems that Steele11 (@steele11x), released a new single mid last month and I completely missed it. It’s rare that I miss out on a drop for this long, and typically I would just “take the L” and move on, but I really wanna talk about this one. “VACANT” is the latest single and it's one that sees Steele go in a bit of a new direction stylistically. First of all I want to say that on its own, everything sounds good, it flows nicely and I think it's a neat song, I mean it’s a Jersey club track, who doesn’t like a good Jersey tune, but that’s where my slight grievance starts. It’s not that I don't think Steele should be allowed to jump from style to style, or genre to genre, but for whatever reason it sounds to me like Steele is a little out of his element here. Like I said, it all sounds great. From the colorful, upbeat production, to the bright, and emotion filled vocal performance by Steele himself, it’s impossible to absolutely just hate it. My issue is more so that it’s a sort of jarring turn for Steele, given his previous tracks featuring hard synths, and tough rapping. On a final note, I just want to say that I think VACANT will grow on me, slowly. But surely. Go support Steele11 today!
