Malik English’s second single off his upcoming EP “Love, M.E,” pays homage to The Beatles iconic “Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds”
Brooklyn artist, Malik English is back and this time its with a brand new single “Lucy in the sky with vvs”. English’s vocals exude raw emotion, entwining R&B finesse with the candidly vulnerable lyrics about trying to find his dream girl.
Malik explains: "The record’s about hoping for a joyful relationship after past failures. Certain relationships feel like they drain everything out of you. After dealing with that I just want to vibe LOL. I took inspiration from “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds” with Lennon talking about this beautiful, imaginary woman. I wanted to write a song like that from my own perspective.”
The sound that Malik is able to bring with this record is super infectious. The bounce and melodies that are present give the track such life and is able to keep the listener entangled inside the song.
