“WIZARD” BY 3ZAYY IS A GREAT CUT OFF OF HIS LATEST PROJECT
Houston artist 3Zayy (@3zayy) delivered his latest full-length project “WIZARD” last week, and while typically I like to take the time to review projects as a whole, I thought that this time I should bring light to my favorite cut on there, the title track “WIZARD”. WIZARD sees 3Zayy putting on a great vocal performance over an incredibly aggressive beat that 3Zayy manages to keep up with by creating an equally aggressive vocal delivery when necessary. What caught my ear the most with this track specifically, was the great use of vocal inflections, and adlib takes that I found really punctuate the verses being delivered, as well as add a breath of fresh air to the writing and performance as a whole. Finally, I would like to add that I really enjoyed the vocal engineering on this specific track, as not only was the mix tight and sonically on point, but I also noted that there seems to be some creativity at play in that aspect as well, which is something I can appreciate from one artist to another. Overall, good track, and I hope this motivates you to give his whole project a listen on all major streaming services.
