Baton Rouge’s very own has returned with his second single of the year, "TURN IT UP". This release is something vicious, vibrant, and full of energy. Written from the perspective of an unmentioned family member, he delves into the daily struggles that life has presented, as mentioned in lines like “REAL TALK THEY TOOK THE WHIP ... REAL TALK MY BILLS ARE DUE…”. In today’s climate, with things constantly changing, it couldn’t be more relatable. There's a lot of uncertainty that the main character faces throughout the song, but one thing that remains true is that THEY NEED TO GET FUCKING PAID, AND PAID SOON.
Jireh continuously is able to create not only amazing songs, but he has found the perfect balance of tackling real life issues and struggles while also being to sonically deliver such satisfying and catchy sounds. With an album on the horizon, everything we have seen from the young artist has us extremely excited to see where he brings next.
