DYL DION SHINES WITH HIS NEWEST SINGLE “JULY”
You know its not often that we get a new release from Dyl dion, but he’s honestly been on a bit of a hot streak as of lately, giving us one great song after the other. Today I was delighted to see that Dyl’s latest release “July,” is out on all platforms, and after a few listens, I can say that July definitely continues that hot streak.
I think this might be the prettiest song in Dyl’s catalog, from the melancholic instrumentation, to the charming harmony vocals that kick the song off, you can instantly feel the emotional space that the song’s wanting to put you in from the jump. And don’t let the upbeat drum pattern fool you, because this song’s the kinda sad song that you throw on specifically when you miss that one special person in the summertime. From a writing perspective the song is written just fine, as Dyl sorta gives his own narrative, that while on its own is relatable, but in a way surface level. The real magic happens when you put all the elements together the way that they are on this song, from Dyl’s vocal performance, to the production, and even the clean sound that the engineering gives us. All together, this track becomes a moody and nostalgic track that anyone can listen to while reminiscing on all the memories you shared.
