vera’s debut single “summer insomniacs” is an amazing start to her career
Canadian artist, Vera, is here with her debut single "summer insomniacs" and what a debut it is. Vera is a 19-year-old Canadian alternative pop/indie rock artist, currently based in Nashville, TN and is truly a fun act to listen to. "summer insomniacs" talks about the reckless infatuation of young romances, from staying up all night to be with that person or talk to them on the phone, then longing for them all day to all the smaller instances that come with love. Vera is able to take you through the motions of being in love during a season and uses the term “insomniacs” as a way to not only represent the loss of sleep or time, but the inability to go through the day without even the thought of this person. From a production standpoint, the repetitive and up beat drums mixed with the simple guitar really help Vera be the center of the track. With Such a strong debut, i’m super excited to see what comes from Vera next and cannot wait to see her growth as an artist.
