THE DEBUT OF WTFTXNY

Producer wtftxny (@wtftxny) debuts his latest project “MAKE WAR, NOT LOVE MUSIC”. “MWNLM” is a seven-track mixtape featuring original sounds by txny aided by various emerging artists who made this project all the more worth its value.
From the jump txny sets the sound for the project, instantly greeting us with his brand of colorful, yet aggressive synths and loud, distorted 808 drums, both elements that the project effectively capitalizes on. Don’t let the fact that this is a production heavy tape fool you though, wtftxny enlists the help of a couple of heavy hitters that give us a few tracks out of the bunch that are gonna keep you coming back for more again and again. And while this project is chock full of outstanding tracks, there is a dull moment present that unfortunately sets the project back a bit, and that moment is our opening tune “iMMORTAL!,” a song that’s great from a production perspective, but it ultimately falls flat for me due to the sloppy vocal delivery by artist Kiaatti, often bordering on off-key making it a somewhat unenjoyable start for the project. All criticisms aside though, this project was an extremely satisfying experience, thanks to the stellar production, and performances on many of the stand out tracks like 3Zayy on “KiLLTEC,” Fucckira on “RiCH” (a personal favorite with its earworm hook that I keep finding myself repeating) and even K3V.K3 on the track “DEFC0N” who masterfully played with vocal inflections.
