yakul DELIVERS AN AMAZING EP FILLED OF MOMENTS WITH “OUTLINES”
Coming out of Brighton, the four-piece known as “Yakul”has released their newest efforts “Outlines” and it is truly amazing. The short 4 song project combines synths, live drums and mesmerizing vocals to help create a super enjoyable and unique listen. James Berkeley explains "‘This was the first project that we wrote in the room together. Over the past couple years we’ve taken several writing trips to the countryside where we fully disconnect and just write music all day. Lyrically the EP deals with themes of escapism and questions focusing around consciousness and reality”. You can truly feel the love and dedication the art during your listen and each song just keeps reeling you into the space they have created.
This was my first introduction to the group and I am instantly hooked. This may be one of my favorite projects of the year so far and it has been constantly on repeat. “Outlines” offers a ton of replay value and really hooks you in within the first song. Yakul is definitely a group you want to keep an eye out for and we look forward to their future releases!
